Recent Selfies and personal style

I haven’t done a post in a little while, I have been practicing, editing and takjng alot more photos again with my dslr. I’ve been focusing a lot on my little DinoGirl and her development and learning as we tried to figure out whether to send her to big school next year or to another year of four year old kinder (we decided on another year I four year old kinder, and that will all be in another post), and I’ve been working a lot on getting my business and website started. It’s exciting, I can’t wait to launch it all and for it to all come together!

Pink Hair: I want it.

I’m becoming increasingly obsessed with the thought of colouring the ends of my hair pink.

And I think I’m going to go do it over the weekend.
A mothers day present to myself!

I think I will just try out the hair chalk that I’ve seen around at first.
If I love it, and my Husband doesnt flip, I may do it more permanently, maybe.

But here’s some colour inspirations for you.
Would you do it? Have you done it? Let me know!

Quick Post- week of outfits

Jut a quickie post!
Here are some of my casual ‘Mummy’ outfits for the week.
I’m loving nautical stripes and sneakers at the moment.
Navy/white stripe long sleeve tee from sportsgirl.
White sneakers and indigo blue skinny jeans from Cotton On.
Orange skull scarf from Kmart.
Pink 7/8 jeans from Dotti.
And the total surprise find, which I would never have found myself, but we’re given them as part of my Christmas present from my Mother In Law – floral patterned jeans which are super comfy and have just the right amount of stretch to them, from ICE!

So it definitely goes to show you don’t always have to shop at all the best brands to find some cute pieces that look more expensive than they actually are.

Have a great weekend and happy shopping!!

I’m a bit of a bargain hunter.
I love having a few key pieces that I spend a little more money on that are classics, and mixing them with vintage and cheaper options.
The skull scarf was either $12 or $15 – you can go wrong! It works with so many outfits.

Hair Envy/Inspiration

I have quite fine and thin hair, and not much of it.
So I’m forever lusting over naturally long, luscious hair, while trying to embrace what ma Mumma gave me (it’s all her fault).
Luckily the mid length and ‘lob’ styles are on trend right now and seem to be hanging around.

Im a fan of the short pixie crop, and it suits my hair and face shape so every so often after tiring of attempting long-ish hair, I get a rush of frustration and liberation and lob off all my hair.
But for now I will continue to grow my hair, lust after the hair styles in these pics, and make my way to some sort of colour closer to my natural ash blonde with ombré blonde tips….
All before I decide to rival Ginnifer Goodwin again.

P.S: I love you Mum…and I forgive you…. 😉

Flora found

Went walking with my babe to a new playground near by, when living with family before we moved into the new place.

Found these beautiful and interesting plants along the way.
The roses were from one garden, obviously cared for by someones Nanna. Trimmed, manicured, simple, yet very pretty. In that way that makes you appreciate simple pleasures in life.

And another garden that was really interesting, that consisted of a cactus, two olive trees and a gum nut tree (yup, I realise that is not the proper name for it, but hey, I’m a Mummy blogger who has worked in retail, not Bunnings or a garden centre, barely in her own gardens as a matter of fact).

Made for an interesting and informative walk for Dino Girl.
Love exploring our new area.

Erin Fetherstone

So about a week ago I stumbled upon a gorgeous label by Erin Fetherstone.
I had actually already seen one or two of her dresses that had gone a bit viral on Facebook and Pintrest already, but couldn’t find who they we’re from.
She is so querkie but in the most romantic and feminine way, I love the way all her ranges are photographed and styled. So pretty.
Here are a few pictures of Erin’s past and current ranges, and some of her apartment too, which is devine!
Oh, and Erin is the one with the gorgeous white blonde hair with a blunt fringe up in a braid, also devine xx
Float away in the whimsy xx
